Easy Cherry pie Recipe for diabetics

As someone who has a diabetic, any food should be healthy and cared for sugar content contained in certain foods. Diabetes is a disease resulting from absolute insulin deficiency, usually caused by autoimmune destruction of pancreatic islet cells

Healthy foods for diabetic, of course almost all the food we can enjoy as usual, but we who have diabetes have to know a recipe but we should know the dose of sugar contained in it.


Cherry pie recipe diabetics


This is a simple recipe CHERRY PIE for diabetics.

CHERRY PIE RECIPES
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans pitted tart cherries (in water − no syrup)
  • 1 large box cook & serve sugar−free vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 small box sugar−free cherry gelatin Sugar substitute to equal 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 baked 9−inch pastry shell
Direction
  1. Drain cherries, reserving juice. 
  2. Set cherries aside. 
  3. In a saucepan, combine cherry juice and dry pudding mix. 
  4. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened and bubbly.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in gelatin powder and sweetener until dissolved. 
  6. Stir in the cherries; transfer to pie shell. 
  7. Cool completely. Store in refrigerator.
  8. 8 servings, 176 calories each, 293 mg sodium, 0 cholesterol, 24 gm carbohydrate, 3 gm protein, 8 gm fat
Diabetic Exchange: 1 starch, 1/2 fruit
